About The Position

Assist in shipping operations by staging and loading material scheduled for shipment. The role also performs housekeeping, operates cranes, mobile equipment, conveyors, and packaging equipment, supports maintenance activities, and observes and records quality data. Additional utility functions may be assigned by the area supervisor.

Requirements

• Strong safety awareness.
• Good verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work consistently without direct supervision.
• Ability to work well with others and independently.
• Quality- and detail-oriented.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Willingness to work scheduled and unscheduled.
• Ability to work routinely in a hot environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive stretching, reaching, lifting, and walking to support routine responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping.
• Safely operate area cranes and mobile equipment.
• Dispose of scrap using cutting torches.
• Operate sample shears, strapping and packaging equipment.
• Operate walking beam conveyors and associated handling equipment.
• Support routine maintenance activities, downturn work, and preventative maintenance checks.
• Continuously observe and record quality data.
• Perform various utility functions assigned by the area supervisor.
