About The Position

Wieland is a global leader in copper and copper alloy manufacturing, processing, and distribution. The Utility & Shipping Associate supports the manufacture of company products and handles customer orders by pulling, packing, and staging them accurately according to pick tickets and shipping manifests. The role is fully on-site in Lima, Ohio, with a starting pay range of $24.42–$25.92 per hour and weekly pay. The scheduled hours are Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, with training scheduled from 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to multitask job duties effectively and efficiently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous warehouse, logistics, or shipping/receiving experience.
• Familiarity with inventory tracking or ERP software.
• Experience with barcode scanners.
• Forklift certification or ability to pass company-sponsored industrial truck training.

Responsibilities

• Pull, pack, and stage customer orders accurately based on pick tickets and shipping manifests.
• Perform general duties supporting the manufacture of company products, including packaging, assembly, material handling, record keeping, warehousing, and other general labor.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts safely and efficiently.
• Perform hand operations and inspect products visually and with precision instruments.
• Adjust production processes to meet quality requirements.
• Interpret blueprints to determine whether products meet specifications.
• Record inspection data and promptly report deviations or defects.
• Follow and maintain quality control procedures.
