About The Position
The Shipping Technician picks and packs customer orders while ensuring compliance with ISO standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements. The role reports to the Shipping Manager. It also involves processing and tracking orders using StarShip/Sage 100 software, scheduling freight shipments when necessary, supporting inventory counts and production, and assisting with shipping-related customer complaints and inventory discrepancies.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Simple math skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs daily.
- Keep the work area clean and orderly.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Time management skills and ability to perform well under pressure.
- Accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to multitask; multitasking makes up 80% of the position.
Responsibilities
- Accurately pick materials for customer orders and pack them for shipment.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, regulatory requirements, and standard operating procedures.
- Complete hazardous materials (DOT/IATA) training.
- Process and track customer orders using StarShip/Sage 100 software; training will be provided.
- Schedule freight shipments when necessary.
- Assist with investigations of customer complaints related to shipping.
- Assist with daily inventory counts and production when needed.
- Assist with investigations of shipping-related customer complaints and inventory discrepancies.
- Perform inventory adjustments.
- Perform additional duties as required by the Shipping Manager.
