About The Position

The Shipping Technician works along the conveyor to handle incoming and outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently and supports receiving activities. The position processes patient orders, organizes outgoing orders for carriers, and communicates with internal counterparts to resolve patient issues. The technician is expected to embody AnewHealth’s Core Values in all communications and interactions. Specific duties may vary based on departmental needs, and other similar duties may be assigned.

This is a full-time position averaging 40 hours per week. The employee must be available for a shift between 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. PST and may need to work outside normal business hours on an ad hoc basis to meet customer expectations. Schedules may be adjusted to accommodate the position and organizational needs. Compensation is $27–$33 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift more than 50 pounds.
• Ability to use a pallet jack and scissor lift.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
• Ability to use multiple software programs to fulfill medication orders.
• Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
• Passion for helping people and enriching their lives.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the pharmacy for extended periods.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle medications, operate equipment, and use computer systems.
• Visual acuity to read prescription labels, reports, and computer screens accurately.
• May require bending, reaching, and repetitive motions during production activities.
• Availability to work a shift between 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. PST, and outside normal business hours on an ad hoc basis as needed.

Responsibilities

• Process outgoing patient orders through the sorter.
• Process outgoing patient orders at the manual manifest station.
• Maintain the accuracy and efficiency of outgoing patient orders.
• Receive incoming shipments from various carriers.
• Organize daily outgoing orders for the appropriate carriers.
• Communicate with internal counterparts to resolve patient issues.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
