About The Position

Join Our Team as a Shipping Specialist at Johnson Electric! Location: Springfield, TN (onsite) Vacancy Type: Existing position As our next Shipping Specialist, you’ll be at the forefront of coordinating and executing the shipment of automotive parts in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Your expertise in logistics, shipping operations, and inventory control will be crucial in ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant order fulfillment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations
• Strong knowledge of shipping systems (FedEx, UPS, LTL) and ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Nice To Haves

• Forklift certification
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with inventory management systems

Responsibilities

• Prepare and package automotive parts for domestic and international shipments
• Generate shipping documentation including labels, bills of lading, and paperwork
• Schedule and coordinate pickups with carriers and freight companies
• Verify shipments for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with specifications
• Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records in system databases
• Communicate with internal teams to ensure timely order fulfillment
• Support receiving, inventory control, and material handling as needed
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area
