About The Position

The Shipping/Receiving Supervisor is responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. The role requires an understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing. The supervisor oversees shipping, receiving, and processing operations, supports Team Members, and works with other supervisors to solve problems. The position is based in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and is scheduled for third shift.

Requirements

High school diploma.
At least 1 year of experience in shipping/receiving, warehousing, or transportation.
Strong communication skills.
Willingness and ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Travel of 1–5 trips per year.

Nice To Haves

Education beyond high school, including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses.
Prior supervisory experience.
Poultry experience.
Basic computer skills.
Experience with SAP.

Responsibilities

Check daily production orders to ensure customer orders are fulfilled.
Ensure every position is filled before production-line start-up.
Ensure machinery performs to the highest standard possible.
Ensure all workstations pass USDA inspection.
Promote safety daily and through monthly safety meetings.
Ensure shipments are accurate, inventory is rotated, and products are properly coded.
Know and communicate company benefits and compensation policies to Team Members.
Encourage Team Members and help build the team.
Perform human-relations functions, including training, retention, and counseling on personal and professional problems.
Oversee processing operations and work with other supervisors to solve problems.
Provide continuous education on the importance of quality.
Perform other responsibilities as needed.
