About The Position

The Shipping/Receiving Supervisor is responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. The position requires an understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing. The role supervises a group of personnel performing somewhat identical and related tasks or activities and includes 1–5 trips per year. The position is on the 3rd shift in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Relocation assistance is not available.

Requirements

High school diploma.
At least 1 year of experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse, or transportation.
Strong communication skills.
Willingness and ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsible use of approved AI tools, including protecting sensitive information, following company policies, and critically validating outputs.

Nice To Haves

Education beyond high school, including special training, vocational school, or college courses.
Prior supervisory experience.
Poultry experience.
Basic computer skills.
Experience with SAP.

Responsibilities

Check daily production orders to ensure customer orders are fulfilled.
Ensure every position is filled before the production line starts.
Ensure machinery performs to the highest standard possible.
Ensure all workstations pass USDA inspection.
Promote safety daily and through monthly safety meetings.
Ensure shipments are accurate, inventory is rotated, and products are properly coded.
Know and communicate company benefits and compensation policies to Team Members.
Encourage Team Members and help build an effective team.
Perform human-relations functions, including training and retaining employees and counseling them on personal and professional problems.
Oversee processing operations and work with other supervisors to solve problems.
Provide continuous education on the importance of quality.
Perform other responsibilities as needed.
Use approved AI tools responsibly, safeguard sensitive information, follow company policies, and validate AI-generated outputs; as a people leader, support responsible adoption and accountability for AI-supported outcomes.
