Requirements

High school graduate or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Four (4) years of related experience in shipping and receiving.
Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
Strong computer skills.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout the employment term.
Texas law requires all males age 18 through 25 to be properly registered with the Selective Service System.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree.
Six (6) years of related experience.
Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

Process requests, deliver and pick-up tables and chairs as requested.
Pick up surplus property as needed from campus and coordinate online auction. Work with purchasing and facilities on project cleanups and surplus pickups.
Coordinate all service requests across campus for tables and chairs, surplus pickup and office moves through the EMS system.
Process all incoming and outgoing freight for the university and deliver to departments using appropriate delivery equipment and respond to customer related customer inquiries.
Swap recycling bins out as requested.
Work with vendors on an as needed basis and act as a liaison between vendors and campus.
Process carrier invoices including FedEx and UPS and bill charges back to the departments.
File freight claims on an as needed basis.
Ship out packages as needed through couriers.
Assist with student packages as necessary.
Maintain 100% compliance with timely completion of required System, University and job-specific online training courses.
