About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving Specialist I manages the receipt, inspection, documentation, and delivery of incoming and outgoing shipments. The role maintains accurate inventory and shipping records, packages items appropriately, resolves delivery discrepancies, and ensures timely distribution of packages. It also includes daily pickups and deliveries across designated locations using a company vehicle, following customer-specific procedures for regulated processes, and supporting team operations with a strong focus on customer service.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 2 years of relevant shipping, receiving, or logistics experience.
Valid driver’s license in good standing.
Comfort with part-time driving responsibilities.
Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
Self-motivated team player able to prioritize tasks effectively.
Ability to work independently and take direction as needed.
Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
Comfort with frequent lifting and physical activity.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and document incoming and outgoing shipments.
Package items using appropriate materials and containers, including wooden, cardboard, or preassembled containers.
Unpack and examine deliveries, and report and resolve discrepancies such as damage or shortages.
Follow customer-specific Standard Operating Procedures for regulated processes.
Safely lift items weighing up to 50 pounds and push loads up to 100 pounds using hand trucks or dollies.
Perform daily deliveries and pickups across designated locations using a company vehicle.
Maintain organized records and comply with shipping and receiving protocols.
Support team operations and provide a high level of customer service.
