About The Position

National Dentex is seeking a full-time Shipping & Receiving Specialist at NDX Nelson Dental Laboratory in Rochester Hills, Michigan. The role handles data entry and scheduling for dental cases, customer communications, billing and invoicing, and preparation and coordination of cases for shipment. Regular hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and may vary from time to time.

Requirements

Computer skills.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Strong attention to detail.

Phone etiquette.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Preferred high school diploma or equivalent; relevant employment experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, perform fine motor or repetitive motions, and demonstrate manual dexterity.
Ability to walk and stand for long periods and repeatedly bend and kneel.
May be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 20 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Enter prescription information via data entry to schedule cases.
Schedule each case received.
Enter demographic and customer information and print preference notes to match cases.
Bill and invoice finished cases; sort and attach documentation or items as required.
Assist with answering incoming calls, make outgoing calls to customer offices, and respond to their inquiries.
Unpack and sanitize new work as needed, following instructions and wearing protective gear.
Sort and attach doctor prescriptions.
Pack completed cases properly.
Verify and consolidate cases in preparation for shipping.
Use UPS and FedEx software and maintain database integrity and account naming procedures.
Disburse cases for local drivers.
Maintain an adequate supply of assembled shipping boxes.
Perform other assigned jobs.
