Shipping and Receiving Lead
About The Position
The Shipping & Receiving Lead manages warehouse receiving, shipping, and inventory, with a focus on optimizing logistics for efficiency. The role follows standard operating procedures, documents weights, batch and lot numbers, and quality checks, and performs simple MRP transactions. It also involves maintaining warehouse cleanliness, cleaning machinery and rooms during full, partial, and back-to-back cleanups, and assisting in production areas as needed. The employee must adhere to cGMP requirements, including restrictions on artificial nails, artificial eyelashes, jewelry, and footwear.
Requirements
- Experience working in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Basic mathematical understanding.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and/or written instructions, such as work instructions and SOPs.
- Ability to occasionally lift 50–100 lbs.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment.
Responsibilities
- Follow all SOPs to perform job duties.
- Identify and help solve problems to improve performance.
- Document weights, batch numbers, lot numbers, and quality checks.
- Clean machinery, rooms, and auxiliary machinery during full, partial, and back-to-back cleanups.
- Adhere to cGMP requirements, including specified restrictions on nails, eyelashes, footwear, and jewelry.
- Perform simple MRP transactions.
- Manage shipping and receiving.
- Manage warehouse inventory and cleanliness.
- Help in production areas as needed.
- Perform other duties as needed.
