About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator oversees the shipment of goods between locations, ensuring products are delivered on time and in good condition. The coordinator releases and manages orders, assists with inventory management, tracks shipments, communicates with carriers, and resolves shipping issues. This is an onsite position at the Huntsville, Alabama Distribution Center, working Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
3–5 years of shipping or logistics experience.
Experience with ERP systems.
Understanding of industry regulations, documentation requirements, and customs clearance procedures.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Oracle and SAP ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Run allocation and distribute orders to the warehouse team.
Coordinate daily shipping operations and ensure timely deliveries.
Communicate with carriers, warehouses, and customers to track shipments and resolve issues.
Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and shipping labels.
Schedule pickup and delivery appointments and arrange transportation modes.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate restocking when needed.
Maintain accurate shipment and inventory records using computer systems.
Evaluate carrier performance and negotiate freight rates.
Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Address customer inquiries or complaints related to shipping and logistics.
Collaborate with departments such as sales and accounting to ensure smooth operations.
