About The Position

Responsible for ensuring that materials are shipped to and received from each customer in accordance with release quantities and shipping windows, and for providing the correct paperwork to the customer’s transportation service. The role may also be responsible for receiving raw material into the warehouse, keeping inventories and invoices current in the CMS System, and providing material to the production area on time.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
2–3 years of related experience in shipping activities in a manufacturing or similar fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with database applications and administration systems, specifically Microsoft Office.
Highly motivated, service- and team-oriented, with attention to detail.
Strong analytical ability.
Problem-solving skills.
Good presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

Supervisory experience would be an asset.

Responsibilities

Follow up on shipping schedules and attainment.
Maintain shipping boards and prepare materials for shipping according to shipping schedules.
Generate and provide appropriate paperwork for transportation.
Manage the ASN notification process and maintain records on the ASN checker.
Maintain records for returnable containers.
Monitor and maintain the customer supplier portal.
Register material exits.
Communicate pertinent information between shifts.
Examine shipment contents and compare them with invoices to verify accuracy.
Record discrepancies and issue a failure warning when necessary.
Receive material by ASN.
Generate a FIFO label for each material.
Locate raw material according to the layout.
Follow the FIFO system.
Track supplier deliveries and materials in transit.
Generate a list of materials in transit and update it daily.
Receive raw material into the warehouse, keep inventories and invoices current in the CMS System, and provide material to production on time, as needed.
