About The Position

The Shipper/Receiver reports to a supervisory or managerial staff member within the facility. The role is responsible for receiving products for processing, moving products through the facility during processing, and loading finished products onto trailers for return to customers. The employee must complete all required training for a Shipping/Receiving Operator as outlined in the training manual.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
• Must be willing to work established shifts.
• Should be proficient using a computer and able to analyze data in a database or spreadsheet.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending and lifting motions over a period of time.
• Must complete all required training for a Shipping/Receiving Operator outlined in the training manual.

Nice To Haves

• Six months to one year of previous warehouse experience.
• Six months to one year of forklift operating experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming unprocessed products, verify customer counts and lot numbers, note damage, and enter information into the computer system.
• Operate a forklift to remove palletized products from trucks; for floor-loaded shipments, remove cartons individually, place them on pallets, and move them to unprocessed storage.
• Move products by forklift to and from various facility areas for processing.
• Remove samples from customer products and coordinate shipment of the samples.
• Shrink-wrap palletized finished products for return to customers, as needed.
• Contact trucking companies and schedule pickup of finished products, as needed.
• Load palletized products onto trailers using a forklift.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
