About The Position
The Shipping Manager is responsible for overseeing all shipping, distribution, and logistics operations within a window manufacturing facility. This role ensures accurate, timely, and efficient delivery of finished goods while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards. The Shipping Manager will lead and develop a team, coordinate with production and sales, and ensure customer expectations are consistently met.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3–5+ years of shipping/logistics experience in manufacturing
- 2+ years of supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of shipping processes and logistics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and leadership skills
Nice To Haves
- associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily shipping operations including order fulfillment, staging, loading, and dispatch.
- Ensure all shipments are accurate and meet delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with production to align shipping priorities with manufacturing output.
- Supervise, train, and develop shipping team members.
- Coordinate outbound shipments with carriers and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
- Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations.
- Analyze shipping metrics and implement continuous improvements.
