About The Position

The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing Shipping & Receiving, Backend and Inventory Control Room all inbound and outbound operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and cost-effective movement of goods. This role manages staff, maintains inventory accuracy, enforces safety standards, and coordinates with vendors, carriers, and internal departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration
  • 7+ years of related experience
  • 5+ years of supervisory or management role and/or training
  • Knowledge of Spreadsheet software
  • Knowledge of Word Processing software
  • Ability to handle multiple detailed oriented tasks
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations experience

Responsibilities

  • Manages personnel in S&R, Backend, and Inventory Control Room
  • Monitor and manage budgets for S&R, Backend, and Inventory Control Room
  • Provide support to operations.
  • Responsible for leading, training, certification, and scheduling staff.
  • Monitors and delegates meals and rest periods.
  • Reviews and approves process flow and update ISO specks.
  • Assist in work instructions for responsible area departments.
  • Verify shipping documentation (BOLs, packing slips, export documents)
  • Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations
  • Monitor KPIs in productivity, accuracy, and generate reports to identify improvement programs.
  • Monitor freight costs and negotiate with carriers when applicable
  • Ensure customer products are handled according to customer specifications and in line with ISO standards
  • Maintain accurate inventory records
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and manage relationships with shipping carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics vendors.
  • Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Optimize warehouse layout and storage processes
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Oversees inventory control systems (ICRS) and maintain audit readiness.
