The company fosters a community where associates can build meaningful careers. Ferguson is seeking a Shipping Manager for its Coral Springs, FL Branch team. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager and involves direct oversight of 5-7 associates. The role's primary focus is overseeing international/export shipping documentation, coordinating with associates to ensure compliance and timely delivery of international shipments.

Requirements

A strong background in Warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory is required
2+ years of warehouse management or supervisory experience
Proficient in OSHA and DOT regulations
Warehouse Management Systems/Highjump
Proficient with all Microsoft Applications required
A strong attention to detail, leadership and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize workload appropriately in order to balance multiple demands and meet timelines
Phenomenal communication skills and the ability and desire to manage a team

Nice To Haves

Bilingual is preferred
A Material Handling Equipment Certification is also recommended

Responsibilities

Ensure warehouse space is used effectively and kept clean and orderly
Maintain and develop a productive warehouse by hiring, training, and providing professional development for all of its associates
Supervise, coordinate, and participate in unloading and stocking of inbound shipments and the picking and shipping of outbound orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness with both product and paperwork
Ensure integrity of inventory and confirm that cycle counts are completed daily
Maintain security of warehouse and safety of all associates and equipment, reporting any accidents and conveying any issues to branch management
Responsible for assisting warehouse associates with picking process
Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs
Skilled in handling export documentation for transporting goods internationally with carrier coordination, and customer communication to ensure compliant and on‑time deliveries.
Ability to coordinate export shipments from the warehouse and serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries regarding order status, documentation, and delivery.
