About The Position
The Shipping Manager will oversee the shipping and receiving department while also performing hands-on shipping and warehouse work. This is a day-shift position, with hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The role will begin on a temp-to-perm basis and pays approximately $24–$25 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the shipping and receiving department while performing hands-on work.
- Drive a forklift and build crates for shipping machines and components.
- Operate production packaging equipment to fulfill orders.
- Pick and pack customer requirements and prepare items for shipping.
- Receive inbound shipments.
- Perform inventory cycle counts, including returned products.
- Create shipping labels, UPC barcodes, and product identification information.
- Transport finished products to shipping areas and build pallets.
- Prioritize orders based on customer requirements and delivery schedules.
