About The Position
The Shipping Manager leads shipping operations at Lonza’s site in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, ensuring materials and products are shipped accurately, safely, and on time. The role focuses on operational excellence, team development, and collaboration across the site to support business objectives and the delivery of therapies. The position is on-site and follows a Monday–Friday schedule.
Requirements
- Experience leading shipping, logistics, warehouse, or distribution operations.
- Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or regulated environment.
- Knowledge of domestic and international shipping requirements and compliance standards.
- Experience using shipping software, ERP systems, and inventory management tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily shipping operations to ensure accurate and timely product delivery.
- Supervise, coach, and develop shipping personnel.
- Plan shipping schedules and allocate resources to meet business requirements.
- Monitor shipments and resolve issues that affect delivery timelines.
- Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations.
- Partner with Production, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams to optimize operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, safety, and service levels.
