About The Position

The Shipping Management ensures compliant, cost-effective, and timely movement of materials and products across domestic and international supply chains with a high degree of independence and technical leadership. The role works across HPLS functions and external partners to deliver safe, compliant, timely, and sustainable results during project execution and ongoing operations.

Requirements

  • Professional working proficiency in both English and Korean is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience; level and scope will be calibrated to demonstrated capability.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, analyze information, document work, and collaborate across functions.
  • Working proficiency with Microsoft 365 and job-relevant enterprise or technical systems.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English and work effectively in a multicultural environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Logistics experience supporting industrial projects, steel, automotive, heavy equipment, or manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms, bills of lading, customs documentation, tariff classification, freight claims, or transportation contracts.
  • Experience with ERP/TMS/WMS systems and logistics analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage domestic and international shipments to ensure on-time delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize logistics processes and reduce transportation costs.
  • Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, warehouses, and customers regarding shipment schedules and status updates.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and commercial invoices.
  • Monitor transportation performance and resolve shipping issues, delays, or discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor shipments, service providers, documentation, and delivery milestones.
  • Maintain accurate transportation, customs, contract, cost, and performance records.
  • Resolve delays, claims, discrepancies, detention, demurrage, damage, and service failures.
  • Analyze rates, capacity, routes, service levels, and logistics cost and recommend improvements.
  • Coordinate with procurement, production, finance, warehouses, carriers, brokers, forwarders, suppliers, and customers.
