About The Position

The Accounting ensures accurate, timely, and compliant accounting, close, reporting, and financial-control processes with a high degree of independence and technical leadership. The role works across HPLS functions and external partners to deliver safe, compliant, timely, and sustainable results during project execution and ongoing operations.

Requirements

• Professional working proficiency in both English and Korean is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of relevant professional experience; level and scope will be calibrated to demonstrated capability.
• Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, analyze information, document work, and collaborate across functions.
• Working proficiency with Microsoft 365 and job-relevant enterprise or technical systems.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English and work effectively in a multicultural environment.

Nice To Haves

• Public accounting or manufacturing accounting experience.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, ERP systems, and capital-project accounting.
• CPA, CMA, or progress toward certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial closing, reporting, and general ledger in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Oversee accounting and ERP operations, including AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, inventory, and cost accounting.
• Manage federal, state, and local tax compliance, including income, sales & use, and property taxes.
• Execute or oversee general ledger, month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Support AP, AR, payroll accounting, fixed assets, leases, inventory, project accounting, and cost accounting.
• Maintain accounting policies, chart of accounts, close calendars, supporting schedules, and internal controls.
• Coordinate audit requests, statutory requirements, tax support, and issue remediation.
• Analyze unusual transactions, account variances, and system/interface exceptions.
• Improve ERP workflows, reporting accuracy, documentation, segregation of duties, and process efficiency.
