About The Position

The Tax ensures accurate, timely, and compliant accounting, close, reporting, and financial-control processes with guidance. The role works across HPLS functions and external partners to deliver safe, compliant, timely, and sustainable results during project execution and ongoing operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, analyze information, document work, and collaborate across functions.
• Working proficiency with Microsoft 365 and job-relevant enterprise or technical systems.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English and work effectively in a multicultural environment.

Nice To Haves

• Professional working proficiency in both English and Korean is required.
• Public accounting or manufacturing accounting experience.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, ERP systems, and capital-project accounting.
• CPA, CMA, or progress toward certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage property tax, tax depreciation, and tax implications of capital investments and plant changes.
• Support audits, regulatory compliance, and communication with auditors, tax authorities, and advisors.
• Manage tax incentives, compliance, reporting, and related documentation and filings.
• Execute or oversee general ledger, month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Support AP, AR, payroll accounting, fixed assets, leases, inventory, project accounting, and cost accounting.
• Maintain accounting policies, chart of accounts, close calendars, supporting schedules, and internal controls.
• Coordinate audit requests, statutory requirements, tax support, and issue remediation.
• Analyze unusual transactions, account variances, and system/interface exceptions.
• Improve ERP workflows, reporting accuracy, documentation, segregation of duties, and process efficiency.
