About The Position

This position is responsible for the daily shipping and receiving of eggs, data entry and inventory of eggs. Other duties may be assigned. The jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

Applicants must have no disciplinary actions within the last 6 months, a point level </= 6 attendance points and 6 months in current area unless the TM is promoting, then less than 6 months in current area is allowable.
Must use safe lifting techniques.
Must regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds and may be required to push/pull 1,500 pounds regularly.
Must regularly stand and walk majority of shift (concrete floor).
Must be able to use hands to handle or feel objects and controls.
Must be able to reach with hands and arms.
Must be able to balance.
Must be able to climb ladders.
Must be able to talk or hear.
Must be able to drive a vehicle within the farm complex.
Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Identify, address and mitigate safety related risks.

Responsibilities

Maintains egg inventory in the CHS database.
Reconciles delivery tickets against actual eggs received.
Coordinates and prepares international egg shipments.
Prepares eggs for transport to other hatcheries and completes paperwork.
Work with egg set coordinator regarding inventory and transportation for extra egg pickups.
Helps coordinate egg packs as needed, fill in for other egg room team members when needed which would include traying eggs or pre warming eggs.
