About The Position

The Shipping and Receiving Technician loads and unloads materials from trucks, identifies products in containers, labels containers, and transfers materials to designated storage areas. The role supports safe warehouse operations and prepares materials for shipment in compliance with company requirements and applicable regulations. Requirements

• Frequently lift 10–40 pounds individually and lift over 40 pounds with a team member.
• Basic computer skills.
• Forklift experience.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Attention to detail.
• Teamwork and communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Follow warehouse safety procedures and processes, making health and safety the number one goal.
• Weigh trucks and materials upon arrival and departure.
• Load and unload materials from trucks using a forklift.
• Prepare loads for shipment, including repacking and consolidating materials.
• Identify materials and verify that required documentation is accurately completed.
• Prepare materials for shipment in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Move materials to proper storage areas using a forklift.
• Weigh materials and record weights on required documentation.
• Label containers according to company requirements and regulations.
• Perform data entry.
• Comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Clean equipment and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
