About The Position

H.Essers and Palmer Logistics are seeking Shipping and Receiving Clerks to support U.S. warehouse operations. The role checks in drivers, schedules and reschedules inbound and outbound shipments, and helps ensure the flow of goods meets customer service expectations and warehouse capacity. It maintains real-time visibility into shipping and receiving accuracy, proactively corrects errors, and coordinates rail freight activities when required. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, customer-focused, and proficient in Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Requirements

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Efficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong and accurate data-entry skills and clerical skills.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willingness to learn Palmer procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Flexible schedule, including availability to come in early, stay late, and/or work weekends depending on operational needs.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in logistics or third-party logistics (3PL) is a plus.
• Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Check in drivers.
• Monitor daily emails.
• Schedule and reschedule inbound and outbound appointments and loads.
• Maintain the daily log and schedule.
• Follow up with carriers about late or missed pickups.
• Document and report scheduling issues by account.
• Monitor and report accuracy on ISO conformances related to receiving and shipping activities.
• Coordinate rail freight activities when required.
• Maintain visibility into shipping and receiving accuracy and proactively correct errors.
