About The Position

The Ship-Rec Material Handler physically receives materials and products to maintain inventory control integrity and ensure items are delivered to the proper locations. The role unloads and verifies truck deliveries, records incoming materials, labels and stores received items, communicates discrepancies, and processes related paperwork. The position may also be required to perform other duties from time to time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or three to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to navigate the internet to access customer portals.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, safety rules, procedure manuals, and similar documents.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Basic arithmetic ability, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to use common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
• Ability to address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and verify delivery accuracy using packing slips.
• Receive incoming materials and products using SAP and a scanner.
• Label received materials and products and put them away in the correct locations.
• Move materials and products from bin to bin to their assigned locations.
• Communicate discrepancies using the receiving discrepancy tool in SharePoint.
• Process YM36 paperwork.
