SUPERVISOR, SHIFT-HOURLY (FULL TIME)
About The Position
The Shift Supervisor directs the activities of associates during an assigned shift and ensures that job expectations are completed while company policies and procedures are maintained. The role includes training associates, creating work schedules, evaluating employee performance, and addressing employee concerns. The supervisor prepares production or sales reports and helps ensure the unit meets quality, productivity, and safety expectations. The position is full time at the UF Admin-Racquet Club Dining Center in Gainesville, Florida, with AM, PM, and weekend scheduling. Supervisory and food service experience are required. The stated pay range is $17.00 to $25.00 per hour. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until openings are filled.
Requirements
- Supervisory experience.
- Food service experience.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Direct associates’ activities during a specific shift and ensure assigned job expectations are completed while policies and procedures are maintained.
- Provide training and create work schedules.
- Evaluate worker performance, reward high performers, and discipline employees who fail to meet reasonable performance standards.
- Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure the unit meets expectations for quality, productivity, and safety.
- Serve as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
- Mentor and develop employees and encourage them to set goals and pursue advancement within the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
