About The Position

The Shift Supervisor Level 1 provides customer service and helps maintain and operate an outdoor car wash site. The position involves customer interaction, site upkeep, opening and closing procedures, and basic troubleshooting. The supervisor must be able to perform all Car Wash Attendant duties, work with minimum direction and periodic supervision, and demonstrate responsibility when the Site Manager is off site. The role requires following safety procedures, reporting customer issues and incidents promptly, and using required personal protective equipment. The employee must be able to work in damp, humid, and variable outdoor weather conditions, where noise is typically moderate but may become excessively loud.

Requirements

At least six months as a Car Wash Attendant before advancement.
Excellent communication skills, including active listening.
Excellent sales and customer service skills.
Ability to anticipate customer needs.
Ability to work weekends.
Ability to work with minimum direction and periodic supervision.
Ability to work safely in accordance with standard operating procedures without endangering the health or safety of oneself or others.
Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including standing and walking throughout the workday; using hands; reaching; climbing or balancing; stopping, crouching, and kneeling; and regularly lifting or moving up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in damp and humid conditions and variable outdoor weather.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including hearing, eye, foot, and hand protection.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.
Some car wash experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt, courteous, friendly, and attentive customer service; greet customers, answer questions, and explain available wash options.
Ensure customer satisfaction and promptly report inquiries, incidents, and issues.
Complete all Car Wash Attendant duties satisfactorily.
Troubleshoot basic XPT and DRB issues and follow DRB Protocol.
Read the Supervisor Level DRB training course.
Attend Preventative Maintenance Training and complete five-day preventative maintenance training.
Report to work on time and follow the dress and appearance code.
Maintain and clean the site.
Perform opening and closing procedures.
Demonstrate responsibility while the Site Manager is off site.
Enforce safety policies and adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and protocols.
Understand the functions of chemical room equipment and assist the Site Manager with tunnel and chemical room equipment repairs.
Clean out solenoids.
