About The Position

The Shift Supervisor Level 1 provides courteous, attentive customer service, explains wash options, and helps ensure customer satisfaction. The role also performs all Car Wash Attendant duties, maintains the site, carries out opening and closing procedures, and handles basic troubleshooting of XPT and DRB issues according to DRB protocol. The supervisor completes required DRB and preventive maintenance training and supports the Site Manager with tunnel and chemical room equipment repairs.

The position requires working with minimum direction and periodic supervision, including demonstrating responsibility when the Site Manager is off site. The supervisor enforces safety policies and follows standard operating procedures, OSHA guidelines, and required PPE practices. Work takes place in a typical outdoor car wash environment, which may involve damp and humid conditions, variable weather, and moderate to occasionally excessive noise.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months as a Car Wash Attendant before advancement.
• Able to work weekends.
• Excellent communication skills, including active listening.
• Excellent sales and customer service skills.
• Ability to anticipate customer needs.
• Ability to demonstrate responsibility while the Site Manager is off site.
• Ability to enforce safety policies.
• Ability to understand the functions of chemical room equipment and assist with equipment repairs.
• Able to perform the physical duties, including standing and walking throughout the workday; using hands; reaching; climbing or balancing; and stopping, crouching, and kneeling.
• Able to work in damp and humid conditions and outdoors in variable weather.
• Able to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Able to wear required personal protective equipment, including hearing, eye, foot, and hand protection, when required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Some car wash experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous, friendly, and attentive customer service; greet customers, answer questions, and explain available wash options.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and report inquiries, incidents, and issues in a timely manner.
• Perform all Car Wash Attendant duties.
• Troubleshoot basic XPT and DRB issues and follow DRB protocol.
• Complete the Supervisor Level DRB training course and required preventive maintenance training, including the 5 Day Preventative Maintenance.
• Maintain the site through cleaning and upkeep.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Demonstrate responsibility while the Site Manager is off site and work with minimum direction and periodic supervision.
• Enforce safety policies and comply with standard operating procedures and OSHA safety guidelines.
• Understand the functions of chemical room equipment and assist the Site Manager with tunnel and chemical room equipment repairs.
• Clean out solenoids.
• Report to work on time and follow the dress and appearance code.
