About The Position
The Shift Supervisor oversees the day-to-day intake, inspection, and outbound operations for the repair and refurbishment of damaged pallets. Under the direction of the Site Manager, this role ensures employees meet company safety, security, productivity, and customer quality standards. The position operates in a fast-paced production environment with daily production quotas. Terzo Enterprises is a logistics company focused on pallet repair, refurbishment, and remanufacturing. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing or logistics.
- 1–2 years of management experience, particularly in leadership, supervision, communication, and planning.
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and flipping of pallets weighing 75–85 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct daily supervision of plant personnel to achieve objectives and ensure safe, clean, and efficient facility operations.
- Interview, select, train, and motivate employees to improve their effectiveness.
- Manage shipping and receiving schedules and assignments.
- Recommend programs to the Site Manager to improve warehouse operations.
- Supervise checks of incoming and outgoing freight for proper counts and codes.
- Assist the Site Manager with space-utilization planning and physical inventories as required.
- Supervise, counsel, and discipline employees using effective communication and motivation techniques; take disciplinary action when needed.
- Oversee inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct quality audits and maintain production records to confirm employees meet standards.
- Manage inspection and movement activities to support quality and efficiency.
- Develop and implement daily equipment-allocation plans and ensure efficient equipment use.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Mechanic to support maintenance of forklifts and sortation equipment.
- Ensure warehouse activity records and reports are prepared on time and maintained effectively.
