About The Position

Holmen Cheese LLC is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to lead first- and second-shift operations and ensure materials and products move safely, efficiently, and accurately throughout the facility. The position oversees decaging activities and coordinates workflow while ensuring employees follow established safety, quality, and operating procedures. The Warehouse Supervisor works closely with production shift supervisors to coordinate priorities, maintain operational flow, and support smooth transitions between shifts. The role balances daily operational demands with employee accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to motivate and lead teams and resolve conflicts.
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software.

Nice To Haves

Secondary education preferred.
Previous experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily warehouse operations on first and second shift to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
Work with customer service and procurement teams to establish load appointments and support timely delivery and receipt of finished goods and raw materials.
Direct and monitor decaging to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and according to production needs.
Align warehouse operations with production priorities and establish operating procedures.
Ensure proper handling, storage, identification, and movement of products and materials.
Coordinate daily priorities and needs with Production Shift Supervisors.
Assign daily tasks and ensure employees understand job expectations and priorities.
Monitor employee performance and address attendance, conduct, and performance concerns.
Ensure employees follow work instructions, safety requirements, and company policies.
Promote a positive work environment focused on communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Monitor productivity, workflow, and operational efficiency.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency.
Hold employees accountable for established performance expectations.
Ensure required documentation and operational records are completed.
Ensure forklifts and other warehouse equipment are operated properly and safely by authorized, trained employees.
Report incidents, near misses, product damage, and other concerns.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
