About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees all first-shift warehouse activities and employees, ensuring accurate picking and shipments and appropriate merchandise handling. The role uses experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of complicated tasks, and requires creativity and latitude. The Distribution Warehouse Supervisor reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.

This is a full-time, Monday-through-Friday first-shift position. The schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or until work is complete. The role is based at 11693 Missouri Bottom Rd, Suite 100, St. Louis, MO 63042.

RJ Schinner is a family-owned wholesale redistributor founded in 1951, with 21 distribution centers and more than 600 employees. The company distributes disposable paper, cleaning, and food service packaging products to distributors in 48 states.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of warehouse operations experience or equivalent.
• At least 2–3 years of inventory control and SKU management experience.
• High degree of attention to detail.
• Ability to perform light to heavy physical tasks and safely lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency operating a variety of powered industrial trucks.
• Comfort with exposure to environmental conditions such as heat, cold, noise, and dust.
• Comfort working at heights of 25–30 feet.

Nice To Haves

• Experience picking or shipping products is strongly preferred.
• Eclipse Warehouse Management System experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate the performance of direct reports.
• Ensure the accuracy and documentation of all outbound shipments.
• Perform operations and safety checks on powered industrial trucks.
• Promote and enforce workplace safety protocols for the department or branch.
• Train second-shift employees on processes and procedures.
• Communicate business plans and departmental goals and objectives.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
