About The Position
The Shift Lead guides execution of the daily production plan and upholds safety, security, productivity, and quality standards. This role involves training and guiding operators in pallet repair, inspecting pallets for quality and rework needs, and coordinating with Shipping/Receiving and the Shift Supervisor. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and flipping of pallets weighing 75 to 85 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Basic tool knowledge is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Guide execution of the daily production plan and standards for safety, security, productivity, and quality.
- Comply with safety procedures and use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Train and guide operators on repairing pallets at a rate that meets company and safety standards.
- Visually inspect and audit pallets and determine what rework is needed.
- Communicate regularly with Shipping/Receiving about needs and status.
- Communicate consistently with the Shift Supervisor for guidance and priorities.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
