About The Position

As a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks, you will help create a warm and welcoming coffeehouse where each cup of coffee can spark connection. You will lead each shift with craft and heart, helping make the coffeehouse a welcoming space for the community. The role includes preparing and coaching the preparation of food and beverages to standard recipes or customer specifications, directing and coordinating the work of other employees, and meeting store operating standards.

Requirements

• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Be available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Meet store operating policies and standards, including those for quality beverages and food products, cash handling, and store safety and security, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• At least six months of experience in a position involving constant interaction with and fulfillment of customer requests.
• At least six months of experience delegating tasks to other employees and/or coordinating the tasks of two or more employees.
• Ability to direct the work of others.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Effective oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of the retail environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coach the preparation of food and beverages according to standard recipes or customer specifications, including recipe changes.
• Direct the work of other employees and delegate or coordinate tasks.
• Meet store operating policies and standards for beverage and food quality, cash handling, and store safety and security.
• Help create a warm and welcoming coffeehouse for customers and the community.
