Shift Supervisor (Full Time)
About The Position
The Shift Supervisor directs associate activities during a specific shift and oversees completion of assigned job expectations while maintaining company policies and procedures. The role includes training associates, creating schedules, evaluating performance, and preparing production or sales reports. The supervisor helps ensure the unit meets quality, productivity, and safety expectations, serves as a contact for employee complaints and time-off requests, and may mentor employees and encourage their professional growth. Other duties may be assigned. This is a full-time position at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 2:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. The pay range is $17.00 to $20.00 per hour. Because the position is in an educational facility, work may be reduced or paused during academic breaks, possibly resulting in unpaid temporary layoffs; business needs may also require year-round work at another location during breaks.
Requirements
- Prior experience in leadership roles is required.
- Prior customer service experience is required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Direct associates' activities during an assigned shift and ensure job expectations are completed in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Provide training and create work schedules.
- Evaluate worker performance, reward high performers, and discipline employees who do not meet reasonable work standards.
- Prepare production or sales reports for management.
- Ensure the unit meets quality, productivity, and safety expectations.
- Serve as the contact person for employee complaints and time-off requests.
- Mentor and develop employees and encourage them to set goals and pursue advancement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
