SHIFT SUPERVISOR (FULL TIME)
About The Position
The Shift Supervisor directs associates’ activities during an assigned shift and ensures assigned job expectations are completed in accordance with company policies and procedures. The role includes training associates, creating work schedules, evaluating performance, preparing production or sales reports, and ensuring the unit meets quality, productivity, and safety expectations. The supervisor serves as a contact for employee complaints and time-off requests and may mentor employees and encourage advancement. Other duties may be assigned. This is a full-time position at IUPUI in Indianapolis, Indiana. The schedule requires weekdays, mornings, and afternoons; hours may vary. The position pays $20.00 to $25.00 per hour. Work may be affected by periods of reduced or suspended educational food-service needs during winter and summer breaks. Depending on business needs, year-round work may be required, potentially at a different location during break periods.
Requirements
- Prior restaurant, food safety, and kitchen management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Direct associates’ activities during a specific shift and ensure assigned job expectations are completed while maintaining policies and procedures.
- Provide training and create work schedules.
- Evaluate workers’ performance, reward high performers, and discipline employees who fail to meet reasonable work-performance standards.
- Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure the unit meets quality, productivity, and safety expectations.
- Act as a contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
- May mentor and develop employees and encourage them to set goals and pursue advancement within the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
