About The Position

A Shift Supervisor supports the CVS Store Management team in driving store execution and performance while building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager or Operations Supervisor is onsite, the Shift Supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth store operations, and completes opening and closing procedures. Responsibilities span staff supervision, customer service, merchandise presentation, pricing, stocking, promotional displays, inventory, and department resets. The role may require COVID-19 vaccination, including boosters where required by role and location and as allowed by law, unless an approved accommodation applies.

Requirements

• Deductive reasoning ability, analytical skills, and computer skills.
• Advanced communication and supervision skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some early morning, overnight, and weekend shifts.
• Ability to work overtime as needed and respond to urgent store issues.
• State-level licensure requirements vary by state.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work effectively with store management and store crews.
• Supervise store crew by assigning, directing, and following up on activities.
• Communicate information effectively to and from store management and crews.
• Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
• Promote CVS customer service by greeting customers, offering help, and thanking them.
• Handle customer relations issues according to company policy and promote a positive shopping experience.
• Maintain customer and patient confidentiality.
• Price merchandise and stock shelves.
• Execute displays, signage, and inventory for weekly, promotional, and seasonal merchandise.
• Execute and maintain off-shelf merchandise displays.
• Reset departments according to planograms (POGs).
• Lead store staff and ensure smooth operations when no manager or Operations Supervisor is onsite.
• Complete all opening and closing procedures.
