About The Position

A Shift Supervisor is a key leader who supports the CVS Store Management team in driving store execution and performance while building consumer loyalty through excellent customer service. When a manager or Operations Supervisor is not onsite, the Shift Supervisor leads store staff, ensures store operations run smoothly, and completes all opening and closing procedures. The role includes supervising and communicating with store crews, assisting customers, maintaining confidentiality, and handling merchandise presentation and inventory tasks. Depending on the role and location, COVID-19 vaccination, including boosters if required, may be required where allowed by law, unless an approved accommodation applies. Proof of vaccination may be required on the first day or within the first few months of employment, depending on the role and location. This is a full-time position with anticipated weekly hours of 40. The typical pay range is $16.50–$24.00 per hour. Actual pay depends on factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.

Requirements

Deductive reasoning ability, analytical skills, and computer skills.
Advanced communication and supervision skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some early morning, overnight, and weekend shifts.
Ability to work overtime as needed and respond to urgent store issues.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Work effectively with store management and store crews.
Supervise store crew by assigning, directing, and following up on activities.
Communicate information effectively to and from store management and crews.
Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
Promote CVS customer service culture by greeting customers, offering help, and thanking them.
Handle customer relations issues according to company policy and promote a positive shopping experience.
Maintain customer and patient confidentiality.
Price merchandise and stock shelves.
Execute displays, signage, and inventory for weekly, promotional, and seasonal merchandise.
Execute and maintain off-shelf merchandise displays.
Reset departments according to planograms (POGs).
Lead store staff and ensure smooth store operations when no manager or Operations Supervisor is onsite.
Complete all opening and closing procedures.
