About The Position

A Shift Supervisor is a key leader supporting the CVS Store Management team in driving store execution and performance while building consumer loyalty through excellent customer service. When no manager or Operations Supervisor is onsite, the Shift Supervisor leads store staff, keeps operations running smoothly, and ensures completion of opening and closing procedures. The role includes supervising and communicating with store crews, assisting customers, maintaining customer and patient confidentiality, and handling merchandise pricing, stocking, displays, inventory, and department resets. Depending on the role and location, COVID-19 vaccination may be required where permitted by law, subject to reasonable accommodations.

Requirements

• Deductive reasoning ability, analytical skills, and computer skills.
• Advanced communication and supervision skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some early morning, overnight, and weekend shifts.
• Ability to work overtime as needed and respond to urgent store issues.
• State-level licensure requirements vary by state.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a retail supervisor.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work effectively with store management and store crews.
• Supervise store crew by assigning, directing, and following up on activities.
• Communicate information effectively to and from store management and crews.
• Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
• Promote CVS customer service practices by greeting customers, offering help, and thanking them.
• Handle customer relations issues according to company policy and promote a positive shopping experience.
• Maintain customer and patient confidentiality.
• Price merchandise and stock shelves.
• Execute displays, signage, and inventory for weekly, promotional, and seasonal merchandise.
• Execute and maintain off-shelf merchandise displays.
• Reset departments according to planograms (POGs).
• Lead store staff and ensure operations run smoothly when no manager or Operations Supervisor is onsite.
• Ensure completion of opening and closing procedures.
