About The Position

Romark Logistics is hiring a Shift Supervisor to support its fast-paced third-party logistics operations in Bethel, Pennsylvania. The supervisor provides leadership during the Monday-through-Wednesday, 8 a.m.-to-8 p.m. shift, promotes positive employee relations, supports employee development, and helps maintain safe, productive warehouse operations. Romark is a family-owned 3PL provider founded in 1954, with a focus on innovation, automation, and technology and partnerships across consumer packaged goods, pharmaceutical, and retail industries.

Requirements

1–3 years of supervisory or management experience in a materials and logistics environment.
Knowledge of shipping and receiving, warehouse, inventory, and material handling operations, methods, and practices.
Demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results through others.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, warehouse and inventory management systems, and productivity tracking software.
Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
Ability to operate and train employees on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, deep reach trucks, walkies, and RF scanners.

Responsibilities

Administer training and certification processes so employees can operate material handling equipment safely and productively.
Assist the Area Manager with periodic performance reviews.
Provide ongoing feedback on employee performance and recommend formal progressive disciplinary action to the Area Manager when appropriate.
Prioritize workload assignments and communicate priorities throughout the shift, working with the Team Leader and employees to correct errors and resolve daily process problems.
Provide shift leadership and foster positive employee relations through effective communication.
Ensure maintenance or repair issues involving building facilities, vehicles, and equipment are addressed and communicated to the Area Manager.
Solicit employee feedback to identify and resolve process or procedural issues and improve productivity and workflow.
Monitor warehouse employees' work for accuracy, neatness, and compliance with quality and productivity standards, practices, and procedures.
Mentor and coach employees and team leaders and suggest training to support their development.
Model safe work behaviors and promote safe work practices.
Participate in special projects and assignments as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
