About The Position

The Machine Operator monitors assigned machine operations to ensure products meet company standards for safety, quality, and throughput. The role includes inspecting products, maintaining production supplies, monitoring measurements and machine performance, meeting production targets, and accurately entering production data. Operators also set up and adjust rewinders, palletize finished products, separate scrap, and use production equipment. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to take coaching well and communicate respectfully with others.
Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with the team and during shift transitions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized work instructions, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement culture.
Ability to meet the physical demands of frequent standing, stooping, and squatting, and frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of manufacturing experience.
Prior knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP system.

Responsibilities

Follow company safety programs, guidelines, rules, regulations, and personal protective equipment requirements.
Maintain housekeeping throughout the assigned shift to ensure an orderly and safe environment.
Physically and visually inspect products to prevent non-conforming goods and promptly report quality defects.
Maintain appropriate levels of production supplies and materials to minimize downtime for the next shift.
Continuously monitor machine operation to maintain accurate product measurements and quality.
Meet or exceed production rates, minimize waste, and meet customer requirements.
Set up and adjust rewinders.
Neatly palletize skids with finished products.
Accurately enter production reporting data into the machine computer.
Separate scrap into the appropriate film-type gaylord.
Operate the core cutting machine, vacuum lift, and pallet jack.
Acquire Set-up Technician knowledge and skills to assist with troubleshooting when needed.
Attend meetings and complete required safety trainings.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
