About The Position

The Extrusion Operator operates and troubleshoots extrusion and auxiliary equipment at Aptar’s Auburn, Alabama location. The role performs material changeovers, setups, and startups as directed, conducts and documents in-process sampling, and completes required documentation in accordance with cGMP requirements. The operator adjusts process settings to maintain quality and productivity, performs routine daily maintenance and repairs as directed, verifies that extruded products are packaged and labeled correctly, and maintains a clean and orderly work environment. The role also identifies where additional documentation could help clarify production requirements. The position reports to the Associate Manager, Extrusion.

Requirements

• Physical ability to perform activity in the compound room.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Ability to use common mechanic hand tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Enjoy working with your hands.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in an extrusion or manufacturing environment.
• Basic skills in industrial electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
