Training and orientation are provided on the job. The position also involves general store-team duties such as taking and processing telephone and in-person orders, handling customer information responsibly, executing credit transactions, preparing products and ingredients, stocking supplies, taking inventory, completing paperwork, operating and cleaning equipment, and assisting teammates. Team members may also be assigned delivery duties, which require a valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle. Work involves standing and walking for much of the shift, handling products and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds, and reaching, bending, carrying, pushing, and occasionally climbing stairs or ladders. Conditions include hot oven surfaces, cold storage areas, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, moving equipment, and variable weather during outside tasks or deliveries.
