About The Position

The Shift Manager - Security is responsible for ensuring consistent high-quality service to team members and guests, setting and maintaining guest service standards, and managing the overall performance of the security and transportation departments. This role involves protecting team members, guests, and casino assets, guiding other departments in security program implementation, and developing procedures for denying entry to unauthorized individuals. The Shift Manager will also manage the departmental budget, monitor staffing levels, complete government reporting, and handle escalated guest service issues. A key aspect of this role is understanding guest alcohol limitations and company policies. The position requires effective communication with senior staff and other team members, as well as direct involvement in interviewing, hiring, training, performance management, and problem resolution for security personnel. Adherence to attendance guidelines and company policies is mandatory, along with ensuring guest satisfaction and upholding confidentiality agreements. The role also emphasizes positive interaction and contributing to team member morale.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including late nights, weekends, and holidays; shifts may change.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent high-quality service to all our team members and guests.
  • Set and maintain guest service standards and ensure team members perform those standards to achieve a favorable gaming experience for guests.
  • Manage overall performance of security and transportation departments to ensure protection and safety of team members, guests, and casino assets.
  • Guide other departments in planning, recommending, and implementing any and all security programs as needed.
  • Develop and implement procedures for denying entry to gaming floor to underage or intoxicated individuals and disassociated persons (DAPs).
  • Develop and manage the departmental budget, including capital expenditures.
  • Monitor staffing levels to ensure budgetary compliance.
  • Complete all government reporting.
  • Manage escalated guest service issues appropriately and discreetly.
  • Have knowledge of guest alcohol limitations and company policy and procedure regarding limitations.
  • Communicates pertinent information to senior staff, surveillance, or other necessary team members that is important to the operation of the casino.
  • Interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies.
  • Ensure satisfaction to guests.
  • Follow lawful directions from supervisors.
  • Uphold the company’s non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements.
