About The Position

Partners Coffee is seeking a full-time Shift Lead for its West Village cafe. The role is suited to someone passionate about coffee and hospitality who enjoys a busy cafe, delivers excellent customer service, and is willing to learn and improve through the company’s education and training. Full-time work is defined as 30 or more hours per week, with a mix of six- and eight-hour shifts. Staff must be available at least one weekend day; candidates for this role must be available at a minimum on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. The hourly rate is $18.50–$20, depending on experience, and the role also earns tips.

Requirements

• NYC Food Handlers card.
• Be a team player.
• Communicate clearly with team members and management.
• Have a love of specialty coffee.
• Be knowledgeable about health codes and able to manage a Department of Health inspection.
• Be able to work on your feet for eight or more hours.
• Be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Be able to climb stairs and ladders.
• Be able to hear audible cues and taste coffee.
• Be able to perform repetitive physical movements of the hands and wrists throughout the day.
• Be available at a minimum on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Craft beverages to the company’s standard.
• Maintain a good working knowledge of the coffee offerings.
• Run shifts through delegation and deployment.
• Maintain the cafe by bussing tables, sweeping, and washing dishes.
