Shift Lead - Car Wash $21+/HR
About The Position
WashU Car Wash is a modern express car wash company focused on delivering a fast, high-quality, and environmentally responsible car wash experience. Founded in 2017 in Plainfield, Illinois, WashU uses advanced technology and water-recycling systems to help conserve resources while providing a superior clean. A Shift Lead helps oversee daily operations and support team performance during an assigned shift. The role ensures efficient operations, maintains high-quality service standards, and delivers an exceptional customer experience. Shift Leads guide team members, uphold company processes, and contribute to a positive, fast-paced, team-oriented environment. No prior car wash experience is required; on-site training is provided. Duties may change or additional responsibilities may be assigned at any time. The position is available full-time or part-time, with schedules ranging from 24 to 40 hours per week. Compensation is $16–$18 per hour plus commission and bonuses, with stated on-target earnings of $21+ per hour.

- Physical ability to operate car wash equipment and perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities
- Lead and support daily operations during assigned shifts, ensuring efficiency and quality standards.
- Supervise team members, assign tasks, and provide coaching.
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing questions and concerns and resolving issues.
- Promote and upsell memberships and premium services.
- Monitor equipment and wash processes, and report or address issues as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility.
- Track sales, cars serviced, and incidents, and support inventory needs.
