About The Position

As a Shift Lead at Dutch Bros Coffee, you will uphold the company’s vision, culture, and core values on every shift. You will serve as a leader within the shop, communicate feedback to leadership, and handle operational tasks so the crew can focus on delivering the company’s core values. The role requires availability for at least 20 hours per week and a flexible, changing schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

You will lead the experience for Broistas and customers, manage shift readiness and execution, model and teach Broista fundamentals, and support the Shop Manager and Shop Lead with shop operations. Candidates must meet the listed performance and conduct qualifications and obtain and maintain any food-handler permit or certification required by applicable regulations.

Compensation is $11.00 plus tips. Relocation compensation may be available to qualifying candidates whose job acceptance requires a move; the amount varies based on factors including relocation distance.

Requirements

• No disciplinary action during the past 90 days; disciplinary action is defined as a coaching conversation resulting in formal documentation with signatures.
• Successfully complete the most recent flowcheck with a score of at least 90% and complete it on time.
• Obtain and maintain a Food Handler Permit or Certification when required by state or local regulations.
• Complete, pass, and maintain mandatory certificates, training, and knowledge tests under Dutch Bros standards and applicable company policies and federal, state, and local regulations.
• Be available to work at least 20 hours per week on a flexible, changing schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Be able to work Shift Lead shifts and attend shop meetings and culture-building events.
• Meet all Broista levels-of-leadership expectations.

Responsibilities

• Uphold Dutch Bros’ vision, culture, and core values on every shift.
• Communicate appropriate information and internal or external feedback to shop leadership, and communicate expectations to the crew.
• Cultivate the Dutch Bros atmosphere and standards, ensure Broistas meet expectations, and help solve problems during shifts.
• Manage shifts, ensuring Broistas are prepared for specials and promotions and have the appropriate energy and attitude for customers.
• Model Broista role expectations and demonstrate expertise in drink and operational fundamentals.
• Train new Broistas operationally and culturally, provide a fun-loving environment, and cover all aspects of the Manifesto during training.
• Support the Shop Manager and Shop Lead with shop operations and other delegated duties.
• Prepare the next shift by counting tills, making bank deposits, restocking products, putting inventory away, and meeting cleanliness standards.
• Share wins and opportunities for improvement with shop leaders.
• Attend mandatory meetings, know available resources, and follow company policies and procedures in the Shift Lead Field Guide and Employee Handbook.
• Demonstrate the Broista and Shift Lead levels-of-leadership expectations, including communication, availability, effort, skill, and attitude.
