About The Position

The Shift Lead Security Officer provides on-site security services for a healthcare client in New Milford, Connecticut, and leads officers on the morning shift. The role supports a safe, calm, and professional environment for staff, patients, and visitors. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a Tuesday–Saturday schedule from 06:30 to 14:30. Securitas describes its security officers as monitoring and patrolling client premises, preserving order, enforcing site regulations and directives, and providing customer service and information to client employees and customers. Uniforms and training are provided, with opportunities for growth within Securitas.

Requirements

Prior security, military, law enforcement, or related experience is preferred.
Ability to work Tuesday–Saturday, 06:30–14:30.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and respond quickly in emergencies.
High school diploma or GED.
Must meet applicable state and client licensing and background requirements.

Nice To Haves

Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
Retail, food service, or hospitality experience is noted as a good fit.

Responsibilities

Lead and support security officers during the morning shift.
Ensure post orders and site procedures are followed.
Monitor access control, visitor management, and general safety on site.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and emergencies.
Complete incident reports and daily activity logs accurately and on time.
Communicate effectively with client staff, visitors, and the Securitas team.
Support training and onboarding of new officers on the shift.
Maintain a professional appearance and represent Securitas values.
Monitor and patrol client premises, preserve order, enforce site regulations and directives, and provide customer service and information to client employees and customers.
