About The Position

BT Retail Solutions, a division of Channel Partners, is hiring a Shelving & Racking Technician for hands-on construction and fixture installation work. The role involves installing, moving, and replacing steel racking and shelving systems, as well as moving products between racks and assisting with other projects as needed. Assignments may range from 0 to 40 hours per week depending on project volume, travel willingness, and acceptance of other available projects. The position requires local and regional travel, and work may be scheduled during days, nights, and weekends.

Requirements

Reliable transportation.
Willingness and ability to travel within the local state and surrounding states.
Availability to work days, nights, and weekends as scheduled.
Ability to read diagrams, such as blueprints and RIGs.
Mechanical aptitude, general trades experience, or experience with racking installation and demolition.
Skill using hand tools, cordless power tools, and mechanical assembly tools for handling materials and fasteners.
Ability or willingness to learn to operate order pickers, forklifts, and scissor lifts.
Comfort working on a lift up to 20 feet off the ground.
Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. and occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

Install, move, and replace steel racking and cantilevers.
Assemble storage, rack, structural, and steel shelving systems.
Replace damaged racking components.
Move products from old racking to new racking.
Assist with other jobs when not performing racking projects.
Follow all safety policies.
Confirm accuracy and job quality using established mechanical and safety standards.
