The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree or Bachelor's degree from an accredited program/university, preferably in social work, psychology, criminal justice, sociology, or a related field. A graduate degree in a related field is preferred. The role requires a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training, with two or more years preferred. The Shelter Manager will be responsible for meeting federal and state regulatory guidelines, supervising shift schedules and staff assignments, monitoring documentation, assisting with new child and staff orientation, providing input into treatment plans, maintaining knowledge of positive child management techniques, planning and supervising activities for children, maintaining a secure campus environment, acting as a positive role model, working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, implementing safety protocols, and maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct.
